Bev is a partner in Dannemiller Tyson Associates, the pioneers of a system transformation methodology known as Whole-Scale. Professional Summary CHILDREN/YOUTH SERVICES - As a parent and a former teacher, I have first-hand experience in both supporting and accessing services for children with a varienty of special needs including after school programs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and foreign student exchange programs. EDUCATION - I taught third grade and children with learning disabilities for seven years and directed a Title I program for eight years. I have consulted on educational issues in numerous capacities including: training 5 to 500 teachers on team-building; facilitating committee reviews of teacher certification testing materials; coaching administrators; working with boards. NONPROFIT SECTOR ISSUES - I have experience as a board member, interim director, volunteer, and consultant. I understand the pressures that nonprofits face including reduced funding, increased demands, staff turnover, mission expansion, board building, and board relations. I have also facilitated several strategic planning and team-building initiatives for nonprofits. INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES - I served as interim director of an I&R service agency for 6 months. My accomplishments included redesigning processes for serving clients, reorganizing the agency structure, bringing the agency into fiscal compliance, and overseeing a merger with an umbrella organization.
